The studio is a cooperation between the Graduate School of Architecture of Konkuk University and the Facolta' 1 of the Torino Polytechnic. The studio explored a peculiar feature of korean public space which can be called the "bang culture". Bang [rooms] are public venues where everybody can rent it own private space and use it alone or share it with some friends. They are the extension of your home and they represent the link between two disciplines apparently so apart one from the other like urban and interior design. The Studio is a cooperation project between the GSA at Konkuk University, and the First School of Architecture of the Torino Polytechnic, Italy. We approached the housing problem with an inside out method. It is not the building shaping the apartments, but the creative combination of different units to give life to new and experimental forms of dwellings; the stop motion technique was the most effective way to show this prototyping method. A Short by IDAS, supervised by Simone Carena and produced by the Italian Institute of Culture under the illuminated patronage of Luigino Zecchin, presented at the Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo. The comedy hits on the power of words as dangerous mutating weapons. All the misspelling in the video are real and some are still unfixed today.
